Lysistrata was written in an ancient time when women didn't have a voice against the patriarchal government. In today's world, it is still not far from it. We're still fighting for autonomy, truth, justice and joy--this adaptation became a space where we ask: what does power look like when we take it back? It is set in the 2017 women's march at the Capitol in Washington, DC. The women protests while the men try to take control.Â
